Effective date: January 1, 2026
AccuLedgers (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our clients' information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly — your name, business name, email, phone number, and any business or financial information you share during onboarding and ongoing service.
We also receive transaction data from connected systems (accounting platforms, bank feeds, payment processors) strictly via read-only API access. We never gain authority to initiate transactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to deliver the bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and advisory services you have engaged us for. We use it to communicate with you about your account, prepare your reports, and meet regulatory obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, marketers, or unrelated third parties.
3. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256. Access is limited to personnel directly assigned to your account, and access logs are reviewed on a regular schedule.
We follow controls aligned to the SOC 2 framework for vendor selection, employee onboarding and offboarding, and incident response.
4. Data Retention
If you cancel service, we export your financial data to you in a format compatible with QuickBooks Online or Xero before closing your account.
We retain encrypted backups for seven (7) years in accordance with U.S. tax record-keeping requirements, after which they are permanently deleted.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing info@acculedgers.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what information is collected and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
6. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand site usage and improve performance. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve or as required by law. The effective date below reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active clients via email.
